OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent Announces Major Update with Triangle Strategy Crossover

Square Enix has revealed a significant update for their mobile JRPG, OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent, set to launch on September 5, 2024. The update also introduces a crossover event with Triangle Strategy, another popular JRPG, along with several new features and improvements.

The Triangle Strategy crossover, running from September 5 to September 19, will bring three new characters to the game: Roland, Frederica, and Serenoa. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to explore these characters’ backstories through new Memoirs. A limited-time paid STEP UP Guide will also be available during this period.

The OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent update introduces new gameplay elements, including Conviction’s Gameboard, Divine Beast, and Manuscript of Salvation, aimed at enhancing the overall player experience. The developers have also implemented a new “Wide View” feature, allowing players to enjoy a broader perspective of the game world.

In addition, the update will upgrade the graphics quality by adding an “Original Art Quality” option, supporting higher frame rates (60 FPS) and resolutions. This enhancement improves visual elements such as snow, fog, and flames, making them more realistic.

To celebrate the update, the game will offer several events and rewards:

• A warm-up period from August 29 to September 4, offering daily login rewards.
• From September 5 to September 26, players can receive a free crossover character (Serenoa) and 200 Free Rubies.
• A 14-day consecutive login event, rewarding players with Rubies and Traveler’s Sacred Seals.
• A Mid-Autumn Festival celebration from September 12 to September 19, featuring additional rewards.

OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent is available for free on iOS and Android devices and is part of the OCTOPATH TRAVELER series. The game features the series’ signature HD-2D pixel art style.
