The highlight of the update is the addition of multiple high-difficulty Battle Scrolls, which are side missions that will push players to their limits. Completing select missions from these new Battle Scrolls will also reward players with new skills, giving them a reason to take on the tougher challenges. Also coming with the update is the Stone of Penance, a new item that increases accessory +Values and rarities in exchange for facing higher difficulty levels. On top of that, balance adjustments are being made to enhance certain Graces.
Nioh 3 producer Kohei Shibata shared a message about the update, thanking players for their support since launch and noting that the team is actively working on future content. He described this update as one focused on adding features and content to improve the overall gameplay experience. Shibata also confirmed that more updates are in the pipeline, including downloadable content planned for later this year.

Further details on each part of the update will be shared through the game’s official social media channels ahead of its release. Nioh 3 is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
