In its speech given at the Webby awards, where Pokemon GO won numerous awards including Best Mobile Game, Niantic may have teased something fairly important which people have been waiting for ages.
The interesting thing about the Webbys is that winners are only allowed five word speeches, to which Global Marketing Product Lead for Niantic Archit Bhargava said only the following at around the 19:09 mark:
“This summer will be legendary.”
It may not mean much, bur for gaming sites like this one it could be an indication of something really big, namely the Legendary Pokemon, which are sorely overdue. Of course, do not take it as a confirmation of any sort, although this is exciting nonetheless.
