During the Honkai: Star Rail Concert 2025, miHoYo surprised fans with a teaser for what they described as “a brand new Honkai game.” The brief trailer showcased two creature trainers preparing to engage in battle, suggesting a possible monster-collecting gameplay direction for this latest addition to the popular franchise.

While the developer didn’t officially announce the title, trademark filings recently discovered in the United States, Europe, Korea, and other regions point to Honkai: Nexus Anima as the likely name. This theory is further supported by domain registrations and several regional Twitter accounts including @HonkaiNA, @HonkaiNA_ID, @HonkaiNA_TH, @HonkaiNA_VN, @HonkaiNA_RU, @HonkaiNA_DE, and @HonkaiNA_FR.
The teaser notably featured Kiana from Honkai Impact 3rd and Blade from Honkai: Star Rail, with Kiana mentioning she’s “in a new world with new challenges.” The trailer concluded with silhouettes of various characters, hinting at possible returning favorites from across the Honkai universe.
This would mark the third major title in the Honkai series following Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail, continuing miHoYo’s streak of successful gacha game releases after Genshin Impact and last year’s Zenless Zone Zero. No release date or platform information was provided, with the developer simply urging fans to “stay tuned” for more details.
