HazeDenki, the new company founded by Nyalra (writer of Needy Streamer Overload), has announced its first game to strong reception. Sister Other Paranoia reached over 10,000 Steam Wishlists within its first day of announcement, according to Game*Spark.
According to Nyalra, Sister Other Paranoia is the first of two games currently in development at HazeDenki. He serves as writer and game director. Several members of the Needy Streamer Overload team are also involved: Ohisashiburi is handling the art, Aiobahn +81 is composing the music, Maruino is designing the UI, and HAYAO is working as programmer. Sister Other Paranoia is scheduled to release in August on Steam for Windows and macOS.

Sister Other Paranoia is a visual novel that follows an unnamed light novel writer who is overly sensitive to other people’s emotions. This condition develops into an ability to read minds. After winning an upcoming writer’s award, the main character becomes increasingly isolated as he hears the jealous thoughts of those around him.
His younger sister, who has white hair, becomes his only source of comfort. While he deals with the negative thoughts he reads from others each day, she greets him when he returns home. Their relationship gradually becomes an unhealthy codependency where neither can function without the other.
The game explores dark themes. The protagonist can use his mind-reading ability to push people toward suicide. Based on the subject matter, the story does not appear to be heading toward a positive conclusion, though multiple endings have not been confirmed.
