NBA 2K26 welcomes players back to The City on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, delivering a fresh take on competition, community, and status in the ultimate basketball hub.
Built on feedback from the community, this year’s City introduces a more accessible layout, redesigned Parks, new Crews, expanded leaderboards, and a wealth of features that keep you on the court more often.
A Faster, Smoother City Experience

The City in NBA 2K26 is all about speed and accessibility. Players can see nearly every location no matter where they stand, making navigation smoother and faster.
For the first time, The City runs at 60 frames per second on Gen 9 platforms, with fluid movement and camera panning enhancing immersion. Dynamic skies, new lighting improvements, and reduced harsh shadows create a vibrant, consistent looks across Parks and outdoor courts.
Everything from the Gatorade Training Facility to the Event Center and Arena is placed within walking distance, while directory boards and live leaderboards highlight top MyPLAYERs and Crews across the community.
Seasonal Parks Return

Parks make a major comeback this year, transforming The City with seasonal variety. Every six weeks, a new Park will be introduced, including HD remasters of all four iconic NBA 2K16 MyPARKs. Launching with Skyline Park, players can experience a grounded, realistic aesthetic that captures the feel of neighborhood basketball.
Competition is fueled with features like Park MVPs, where the top REP player is visible across courts, rewarding challenges with massive VS and REO bonuses if they can take them down. Streak Setters and Streak Breakers raise the stakes further, rewarding hot win streaks or rewarding those who end them, while a permanent 25% REP boost ensures progress comes faster than ever.
Crews and Community Play

A major new addition is Crews, allowing players to create their own squad with logos, branded clothing, and progression across 30 Crews levels. Crews can remain small among close friends or expand up to 50 players, with weekly goals and exclusive rewards like VC multipliers, badge perks, and unlimited boosts.
Leaderboards showcase dominance across modes like Park, The REC, The Theater, and Proving Grounds, while massive 12-foot statues of top players stand outside each mode’s building. Geo Rank leaderboards celebrate regional leaders worldwide, letting top players rep their home state or country with custom flairs shown during pre-game intros.
Competitive Play and Tournaments

For the most competitive ballers, the Pro-Am Summit returns twice each season, hosting 3v3 and 5v5 tournaments where top-ranked teams claim elite rewards. Street Kings also debuts as an evolution of Streetball, condensing its courts into one Roman-inspired complex where players can take on challenging CPU bosses to earn rewards, level up, and sharpen their skills.
Challenges and MyCOURT Updates

Challenges provide new ways to engage daily, seasonally, and long-term. From beginner onboarding tasks to daily VS rewards and exclusive lifetime cosmetics, there’s always something to chase. MyCOURT also receives a major update, offering expanded drills, customisation tools, and even a full arena court editor to design your own floor and branding.
For those who want variety off the court, The Track returns with new vehicles like Pockets Bikes and Drift Trikes, offering racing competition and weekly VC prizes.
MyCAREER: Out of Bounds

The City seamlessly ties into NBA 2k26’s new MyCAREER story, Out of Bounds, which follows your journey from a small-town prospect in Vermont to NBA stardom. Players will rise through high school and club leagues, take part in the NBA Draft, and even decide their own fate by choosing a preferred team or letting performance dictate draft position. Once in the league, passion projects, sponsor storylines, and even playoff scenarios expand the narrative further than ever before.
A New Era of Virtual Hoops
NBA 2K26 launches with the most ambitious version of The City yet. With a streamlined layout, legendary Park returns, all-new Crews, and a MyCAREER story that extends beyond the NBA season, this year promises to redefine the way players experience basketball’s virtual mecca.
