On 25th September, Kakao Games and XLGAMES had a press conference to announce their upcoming mobile MMORPG, Moonlight Sculptor. They announced their release date for South Korea (10th of October) and the pre-load day on 9th of October. The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor is one of the best-selling fantasy novels in Korea region. As of today, there are already more than 2 million pre-registrations within only 9 days!
Founder of XLGAMES and the current Head of Development mentioned that the game will be pushing towards the style of an MMORPG like that of 20 years ago. They also said that this game can be a more relaxing game compared to the current MMORPGs in the market.
Moonlight Sculptor will have 5 classes,
- Warrior
- Archer
- Paladin
- Sorcerer
- Sculptor
These are the classes that will be initially released, but like other MMORPG traditions, the developers will also release more classes in the future. In Moonlight Sculptor, there are different elements of the game that are related to the living system like fishing, cooking, gathering, crafting and such. There will also be a day/night cycle lasting 4 real hours each. Quests, monsters and interactions will differ based on the time as well!
There are a few things that we can expect from the game.
- PVE mode
- PVP mode
- Classic player vs player
- Knight General Selection
- Held once a week and winner will receive titles, equipment, quests and special access to the palace
- Instanced Dungeon ‘Entrance of Chaos’
- Pets/Adventure companions
- Obtainable sculptures that will provide buffs
- Unlockable secret class, unexplored locations and hidden quests.
