MONGIL: STAR DIVE, the upcoming action RPG from Netmarble and Netmarble Monster, has had its release postponed. The game was originally scheduled for December 31, though no official date was ever announced. The release window has now been moved to March 26, 2026, according to the game’s listing on the Apple App Store.
The game is a follow-up to Monster Taming, which came out in 2013 and attracted over 15 million players. MONGIL: STAR DIVE uses Unreal Engine 5 and brings back main characters Verna and Cloud, along with their companion Nyanners, who has special monster-taming abilities.

Players will be able to catch and train monsters, then turn them into “Monster-rings” that boost character stats and abilities. The game features a three-character party system where players can switch between characters during real-time battles. The story mode includes high-quality cutscenes that look like an animated movie.
Earlier this year, Netmarble held a closed beta test from June 19 to 26 during Summer Game Fest 2025. The test showed off the game’s colorful world, combat system, and monster collection features. A new character named Sangun was also revealed, featuring design inspired by East Asian culture.

When it releases, MONGIL: STAR DIVE will be available on PC through the Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and mobile devices running iOS and Android. The game supports cross-platform play across all versions.
