miHoYo has announced Varsapura, a new open-world game currently being developed using Unreal Engine 5. The company has not shared which platforms the game will release on or when players can expect it to launch.
The developer is actively hiring for several positions related to Varsapura at its offices in Shanghai and Singapore, suggesting the project is still in active development. According to the announcement, Varsapura features an organization called SEAL (Shadow Emergency Alliance). The reveal materials present information in the form of an internal directive, describing footage captured from “live operational environments.”
One notable detail mentions that the main character’s appearance changes based on each player’s preferences when they enter Varsapura, though the announcement describes this as a “parapsychological effect” with unknown origins within the game’s setting. The announcement also references concepts like “Cognosea disruption events” and mentions that SEAL conducts monitoring activities, hinting at the game’s themes and world-building.

Currently, only an English voice-over version has been released. miHoYo stated that additional language options are being worked on and will be added once ready. The company is looking for new team members to join the project, inviting candidates to “Join SEAL” as part of its recruitment efforts.
