Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is giving players another chance to test the upcoming fighting game, with Closed Beta 2 launching December 5, 2025 on PlayStation 5. The game was first announced in June 2025, with the closed beta announcement revealed during Sony’s State of Play presentation.
This test adds Spider-Man and Ghost Rider to the playable roster, bringing the total number of fighters to eight. Players can mix heroes and villains to build custom four-character teams. Two new stages join the beta: Savage Land and X-Mansion. Each stage features interactive elements for players to explore during matches.
According to Game Director and Lead Battle Designer Kazuto Sekine from Arc System Works, the team has made multiple improvements based on feedback from the first closed beta. These updates include balance adjustments, performance improvements, visual enhancements, and user experience upgrades. More details about these changes will be shared closer to the beta launch.
The closed beta runs for 72 hours, from Friday, December 5 at midnight PT through December 7 at 11:59 PM PT. Players can access both CPU battles and online matches on December 5 and 6, while December 7 will feature online battles only.

Players who participated in the first beta will be automatically registered and will receive a reminder email from PlayStation. Those who registered interest but didn’t participate in the first test should watch for an invitation email. New players can sign up now through the official channels. Developed through a partnership between PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games, the fighter brings Marvel heroes and villains together for team-based combat.
