The 2026 Pokémon World Championships have officially come to an end, with players from around the world crowned as champions across several categories. The event took place in San Francisco, California, and Championship Sunday was broadcast live from Chase Center.

It was the biggest venue to ever host a Pokémon tournament, and it was completely sold out for the occasion. The tournament ran alongside Pokémon XP, a separate convention built around the community side of Pokémon rather than competitive play.

In Pokémon Unite, Zeta Division took the win over Komai to become this year’s champion. Notably, this will be the last time Pokémon Unite will be featured as part of the World Championships.

Over in Pokémon Go, GGS489HIROMARU came out on top, defeating Meweedle to claim the title.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game had three separate champions crowned across its age divisions. Yuta Araki won the Junior division, Jake Ng took the Senior title, and Andrew Hendrick was named champion of the Masters division.

The Video Game Championships also saw three winners recognized by division. Kazuke Kage won the Junior category, Vikram Thiagarajan claimed the Senior title, and Takuma Yamazaki was crowned champion in the Masters division.

With all the matches finished and the new champions decided, this year’s World Championships bring another chapter of competitive Pokémon to a close, setting the stage for what comes next in the years ahead.
