Acacia and Re,AER have revealed that their upcoming fantasy simulation game, Magical Girl Witch Trials, is set to launch this July.
While the initial release will support Japanese and Simplified Chinese languages only, fans can already explore the official Steam page, even though an English translation has yet to be confirmed.
Game Overview
Emma wakes up in a dark cage on an isolated island, starting her first year of high school with no memory of how she got there. An owl informs her that she is considered a threat and a potential witch who must live as a prisoner. Her normal life is disrupted as she meets other girls in the same situation. The owl eventually announces he will hold a witch trial for them.

This mystery fantasy follows Emma, who is locked in a strange prison house with Witch Candidates. It raises questions about what a prison house is, what a witch is, and who the real culprit is. The story reveals new perspectives after it’s cleared.
In the prison house, murders happen by witches hiding among the inmates. They must be identified through discussion and deduction in periodic witch trials.

Magical Girl Witch Trials is set to launch on PC via Steam on July 18, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for a later date.
