Idea Factory International has announced that MADO MONOGATARI: Fia and the Wondrous Academy will be coming to PC via Steam on March 25. The game follows a girl named Fia, who travels from her hometown to enroll in the Ancient Magic Academy, a school with a long history most notably known as the place where a legendary figure called The Great Mage once studied.
Once inside, Fia works through tough coursework, strict professors, and strange happenings, all while chasing her dream of becoming a Great Mage herself and forming friendships with her fellow students.

On the gameplay side, players will explore randomly generated dungeons and take part in real-time, turn-based battles. Fia can use Magic Artes and collect Elemental Orbs to build up a gauge and pull off more powerful Great Magic Artes. Managing your inventory and stats matters as you go deeper into dungeons, where you’ll run into magical monsters like Puyo and Skeleton T along the way.
Outside of dungeons, players can spend time on the school grounds. There, Fia can check the Bulletin Board for mini-games, hang out with classmates, grow ingredients, and cook curry that provides boosts during dungeon runs. There’s also a Storage Room where items picked up in dungeons can be used to craft new equipment through synthesis, with more synthesis options unlocking as you progress through the Grimoire.

The Grimoire itself acts as a skill log, tracking all of Fia’s unlocked Magic Artes. Players earn Learning Points by completing Assignments and Help Quests, which can then be used to unlock new abilities through nodes in the Grimoire. The dungeon crawling RPG was previously available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, which launched in Japan on November 28, 2024, and then in the west on July 29, 2025.
