Warner Bros. Games and DC have released a new cinematic for the upcoming LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and it’s a fun nod to one of Batman’s most beloved movies.
The cinematic recreates the famous museum scene from DC’s Batman (1989), where The Joker takes over the Gotham City Art Museum and turns it into his own personal gallery. The clip is set to “Partyman” by Prince, the same song used in that scene in the original film. The whole thing has been given the full LEGO treatment, keeping the playful and humorous tone the series is known for.
The game itself is being developed by TT Games and is described as an action-adventure title that follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from his origins all the way to becoming the legendary Caped Crusader. It draws inspiration from Batman’s long history across films, TV shows, comic books, and games, blending DC lore with the signature LEGO humor fans have come to expect.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is set to launch on May 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will get 72-hour early access starting May 26, 2026. All pre-orders come with The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, based on the acclaimed comic book series of the same name.

A Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is also in the works, though a release date for that version has not been announced yet. It is currently available to wishlist.
