Krafton has opened a voluntary resignation program for its Korean employees as the company continues its push to become an AI-first company. Starting November 12, staff members in Korea can apply for special severance packages. According to Business Korea, these packages range from six to 36 months’ salary depending on the employee’s grade and length of service.
The move follows Krafton’s announcement last month that it would position itself as an “AI-first company.” This came ahead of the publisher reporting record-high cumulative performance in its Q3 2025 financial report.
In its earlier statement, Krafton said it would be “prioritizing AI as a central and primary means of problem-solving” while “fostering change in individuals and organizations, increasing company-wide productivity, and accelerating mid- to long-term corporate value growth.”
Despite the voluntary resignation program, Krafton maintains that reducing headcount is not the goal. A company spokesperson told Business Korea that the program aims to “support members in proactively designing their growth direction and embarking on new challenges both inside and outside the company amid the era of AI transformation.”
The spokesperson added that the company wants to help employees “autonomously decide whether to continue the direction of change internally or expand externally.”
