KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Fantastic Days has opened applications for a CBT (Closed Beta Test). Konosuba! Fantastic Days is a smartphone game of the popular light novel and anime series. It’s currently up for pre-registration, with an expected launch in Winter. If you haven’t seen the trailer, here it is again!
Application period for the Closed Beta Test is from 8 – 21 November 2019. Spaces are limited, at 5,000 players maximum. This means 2,500 for iOS and Android respectively. The Konosuba Fantastic Days CBT will commence 28 November to 2 December 2019 15:59 JST. Should registrants exceed the limit, people will be chosen by lottery. Players will be notified after November 2019.
The listed requirements are:
- iOS: iOS10 or higher, iPhone 6S and newer
- Android: Android 6.0 or higher, 2GB RAM or more
- ABout 2GB free storage
Applicants are required to have compatible devices, be able to participate in the feedback questionnaire, and live in Japan. Data will be reset when the CBT ends, among other things. Dates for the test, and contents in the game are subject to change.
The game has currently achieved 30,000 pre-registrations! New, original characters will also be introduced into the game. Depending on how they are romanized, we could be looking at:

Returning characters from the anime like Eris/Chris, Mitsurugi will make appearances as well. With the Konosuba Fantastic Days CBT, there should be more information on how the game play is coming soon. The story is said to be fully voiced, and original to the game. There will be a sub-story to complement the main story, character stories and event stories.
Battles are turn based with timers, skill cooldowns, and such, going by app-liv’s screenshots. There will also be special abilities, of course. There seems to be a “sub-member system”, which would probably be easier to understand when you actually get to play the game. Included are limit break systems, missions and time-attach quests, which seem pretty standard.
What do you think of the preview so far? Are you excited to join Kazuma and the Goddesses once again?
