Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress – Ran: Hajimaru Michiato will cease operations on 18th February 2021. This sad news came from the game’s Twitter account.

Since two days ago when the announcement was made, players could no longer buy additional premium currency. However, players can still enjoy the game as usual and spend any of their remaining premium currency until 17:00 JST, 18th February 2021. That is the scheduled time when servers shut down.

After 17:00 JST, 18th February 2021, players will no longer be able to play the game. The game will start accepting refunds for any unspent premium currency until 17:00 JST, 20th May 2021. Additional details regarding refunds will be available in the game and on the official website after services end.

The game’s staff also shared the following precautions:

• Be careful not to uninstall the app until you obtain your refunds.
• It is advisable to write down your user ID or save it as a screenshot in advance.

Initially, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress – Ran: Hajimaru Michiato first released on December 2018 in Japan. It relaunched for the second time in July of last year. Based on the Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress anime, the game never saw a Western release.
