NetEase’s Identity V (第五人格) has been released for a month in China, while the global version is currently accepting pre-registrations ahead of its unknown release date. As the 1 vs 4 survival horror mobile game is receiving much attention in China, some players have pointed out quite a few game elements that appear similar to the elements in multiple video games and movies.

Here are some examples of the similar elements discovered:

Loading screen – Similar to the cover image of Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game

Character – Similar clothes with Sebastian’s from The Evil Within

Character – Similar to the button-eyed doll/character appeared in Coraline

Character – Similar to the male character in Corpse Bride

Character skin – Similar to Dead Silence’s Billy (well even the character skin is named as Billy)

New hidden map – Similar concept to an abandoned video game titled Year Of The Ladybug

In my opinion, certain element does look similar but it might be just a similar idea from the Identity V developers so take it with a grain of salt. What do you think? Tell us your opinion in the comment section below!
