A Japanese space development company called Space Entry has announced a project to send a real and working version of Haro, the iconic round robot from the Mobile Suit Gundam anime franchise into outer space. The announcement was made at the Inagi Communication Base Pair Terrace in Tokyo, and was reported by Hobby Watch. The project is called Minna no Haro (which translates to “Everybody’s Haro” in English), and its goal is to conduct a launch experiment involving an autonomous space robot.
Minna no Haro was designed by Kunio Okawara, a veteran mecha designer who worked on the original Gundam series. Okawara is also one of the project’s sponsoring partners, along with Bandai Namco Filmworks.

The robot comes with several built-in features. It can move in any direction using 360-degree propulsion through propellers, and it is equipped with AI-powered conversation abilities. These features are designed to allow Minna no Haro to interact with and support Japanese astronauts aboard the station.
Under the HELLO HARO mission, the Minna no Haro robot will be sent to the International Space Station (ISS), where it will be stationed in the Japanese Experiment Module, commonly known as Kibo. The project is officially scheduled to kick off in Spring 2026, with both on-Earth and in-space tests planned before the actual launch. The robot’s launch into space is targeted for Winter 2026, with further experiments in space lined up for 2027. The data gathered from these experiments will be used to help develop future generations of space robots.
To get the project off the ground, Space Entry has launched a crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE, a Japanese crowdfunding platform. The campaign is looking for supporters and official sponsors, and is also offering a “participation plan” for backers who want to be more directly involved in the HELLO HARO mission.
