Supergiant Games has released Hades II on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass. Alongside the console launch, Supergiant released the game’s second major post-launch patch.
In Hades II, players take on the role of Melinoë, an immortal witch and Princess of the Underworld, as she fights against the forces of the Titan of Time. Like the original game, she can wield weapons, receive boons from Olympian gods, and build relationships with a fully voiced cast of dozens of characters.
The update adds narrated conclusion scenes for certain character prophecies, expands gifting options with Crossroads characters after bonding with them, and introduces new dialogue for many characters throughout the story. On the gameplay side, several boons from gods like Ares, Poseidon, and Hestia received buffs and reworks, while various weapons got adjustments to their aspects. The patch also adds new animations, updated visual effects, quality-of-life improvements like a new Zoom In accessibility option, and fixes for a long list of bugs including controller vibration not working while petting Cerberus.

For those who have already reached the True Ending, the update adds a more festive atmosphere to the Crossroads during the night that follows, along with new artwork and a new greeting animation when confronting Infernal Cerberus after a certain story point. Players can also now skip most of the narrated Homer outcomes after a successful run, and the game’s Fated List of prophecies has been updated with clearer instructions and added narrated conclusions for several entries.
The game is also available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
