Guilty Gear Strive Adds Cyberpunk Edgerunners’ Lucy This August

Arc System Works has announced that Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will officially join the Guilty Gear Strive roster as a playable character on August 21, 2025.

The reveal took place during EVO 2025, shortly after the conclusion of the Guilty Gear Strive Top 8 finals. Series producer Ken Miyauchi took the stage to congratulate the finalists before debuting a new trailer for Lucy’s long-awaited arrival in Season 4 of the game.

Lucy Joins the Fight

Originally teased back in July, Lucyna Kushinada, better known as Lucy, finally gets her time in the spotlight. Known as a mysterious Netrunner and elite cyberspace hacker from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Lucy enters the fray in Strive with a flashy, high-speed playstyle true to her anime counterpart.

The trailer showcases Lucy tearing through both iconic and newer characters in the game’s roster. With her acrobatic moves, tech-infused attacks, and cold composure, she looks set to bring a unique dynamic to the Strive battlefield.

Story Setup and Gameplay Tease

According to the trailer’s narration, Lucy is on a personal mission, running diagnostics in search of an unknown target. The teaser describes her as an “elite hacker, cyberspace surfer, the mysterious Netrunner” as she battles her way through opponents in stylish fashion.

While exact mechanics are yet to be detailed, the early footage shows a strong emphasis on mobility, mid-range zoning, and visually striking combos that will likely appeal to fans of both the Cyberpunk anime and Guilty Gear veterans.

Lucy will be available in Guilty Gear Strive starting August 21, 2025, as part of the Season 4 content lineup. The game is currently playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
