Diablo IV is all about the loot, and the game got a lot of it; so it won’t be a surprise that players would come across some stash issues where you might’ve looted more than you can store.
Here we have a few tips on how you can make use of the tools the game gives to us, as well as some general advice on inventory management.
Create Stash Characters
After completing the main Diablo IV campaign for the first time, players are able to skip past the story for any new characters they create next. This means that the new character will immediately be in Kyovashad, the starting major city that has access to the stash.
You can probably see where this is going by now but essentially, you’re going to create new characters just for the sake of carrying items. Each character has an equipment tab that can store up to 33 items, given that we can up to 10 characters, you can essentially store up to 330 equipment. That’s not even counting Magic Elixirs or Nightmare Sigil since that falls under the Consumable tabs.
What I can suggest doing to make going through all of your equipment easier is to have dedicated characters carry specific items: like having one character only keep Head Pieces, while the other only carry Weapons.
Keep only Royal Gems
Just like items, gems in Diablo IV drop very frequently, and there’s different levels to them as well. Not only that, but they also take up the same slot as your equipment. One general advice is to only keep the highest level Gems (Royal Tier).
There’s virtually no point to upgrade your smaller gems as it requires a lot of gold to craft them up and it’s not worth the investment.
Extracting Aspects
Given the vast amounts of useful Legendary Aspects in the game, we tend to keep the equipment with us until to right moment, but that means filling up your inventory slot. Instead, one thing you could do is to extract those aspects instead of keeping the whole item.
This essentially opens up equipment slot as Legendary Aspects have their own dedicated inventory tab. Much like your equipment and consumable tabs, the Aspect tab has 22 slots and if you have 10 characters, you’ll have 220 slots for it.
That’s just about the things you can do in terms of stash and inventory management in Diablo IV.
