Collaboration games are a dime and a dozen, with Grimoire of Zero being no different. As one of the more popular anime airing in spring, fans have much to celebrate, but does the gameplay hold up?
Skill casting has been made a primary feature of Grimoire of Zero, where characters will be able to equip up to two skill cards each. The signature abilities of the main characters are shown off in great detail during combat and true to the anime.
Another aspect that will be familiar to fans is the inclusion of a cooking mode, where Mercenary and Zero make use of ingredients to turn into edibles. For the most part, the game is fairly casual, which is fine, considering the fact it has been developed for fans of the series first and foremost. Fans of RPGs may find something to like about the game, but you are better off looking elsewhere if you want something more fleshed out.
