The Lantern Rite event has kicked off for the Asia server in Genshin Impact, which will require players to clear Xiao’s character quest, “Alatus Chapter”, before it begins proper. The Lantern Rite as a whole will run until 28 February, 03:59 for the Asia server, with times to match accordingly for EU and NA. It will be in three parts:
“The Origin of the Lanterns”, until 28 February, 03:59
“Currents Deep Beneath the Lanterns” from 14 February 04:00 to 28 February, 03:59
“Light Upon the Sea” from 18 February to 28 February, 03:59
The relevant event shop will likewise also open in stages until the end of the event. Players will be able to fulfill a variety of requests corresponding to the event and gain Festive Fever, which will unlock more quests and Theater Mechanicus sections, the latter of which will require crafting Xiao Lanterns to challenge. The official forums have begun posting tips for the event, the first of which refers to the making of Xiao Lanterns:
