[gamescom 2023] Sonic Frontiers Reveals The Final Horizon Free Update Which Includes A New Story and New Playable Characters

During the gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 livestream, a free update for Sonic Frontiers titled The Final Horizon has been revealed, which is set to release on 28th September 2023.

With The Final Horizon update for Sonic Frontiers, players will get to experience a brand new cinematic adventure and play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. The free update will be including, a new story, new playable characters as well as new challenges. However, not much else had been revealed during the teaser trailer.

Sonic Frontiers is a 3D open-zone platform game which has players step into the shoes of Sonic as you explore he Starfall Islands to collect the Chaos Emeralds, after being separated with his friends when falling through a wormhole.

The game incorporates classic Sonic gameplay elements such as platforming, rings, and grinding rails in the series’ first ever open zone format. While exploring the open zones, players can complete challenges, fight robotic enemies, and access “Cyber Space” levels inspired by previous Sonic games.
