The gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 opened its doors on October 16 with a powerful message from one of gaming’s most recognized creators. Glenn Schofield, known for his work on Dead Space and Call of Duty, delivered a direct challenge to industry leaders during the opening ceremony.
“Get your guts back,” Schofield told the audience, calling on executives and investors to bring back bold ideas and creative courage to help rebuild the gaming industry.

The opening ceremony marked the start of the four-day event’s business area. Lars Janssen and Felix Falk from game – the German Games Industry Association – discussed the importance of strengthening connections between Europe and Asia through shared innovation. DEPA President Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin highlighted Thailand’s growing digital economy and creative technology sector.
Thailand Game Association (TGA) President Kittipong Prucksa-aroon closed the ceremony by celebrating the growth of Thailand’s game development community and the value of international partnerships. The conference featured a conversation between Alexander Karpazis from Ubisoft Canada and Gordon Van Dyke from Adorapixel, Sweden, who looked back at ten years of Rainbow Six Siege, discussing the game’s innovation and development over the past decade.

The event’s Invest Circle continued to show strong investor interest in the region’s gaming sector. Independent game showcases also drew attention throughout the World of Gaming area. The crossover event continues through October 19.
