Developer 11 bit studios has officially announced Frostpunk 2: Breach of Trust, the first major downloadable content expansion for Frostpunk 2. The new story-driven DLC is scheduled to launch on June 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms including Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
The expansion introduces a new narrative arc centered around a dangerous political and environmental crisis in the city of New Edinburgh, expanding the game’s signature survival strategy gameplay with fresh mechanics, factions, and high-stakes decisions.

Breach of Trust takes players to New Edinburgh, a city built near a volatile volcano destabilised by excessive geothermal energy usage to power its Generator. The situation quickly escalates into a full-scale crisis as tremors intensify and ash clouds threaten the city’s survival.
With the Old Captain removed from leadership, players step into the role of First Citizen at a time when public confidence is fragile and tensions are rising.
