Xiaomi Malaysia has launched the REDMI Note 17 Series, made up of four new phones. The highlight is the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, the first “Pro Max” model in the Note lineup, which comes with a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and flagship-level durability. The lineup also includes the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and the base REDMI Note 17 (4G).

The Pro Max’s battery can last up to three days on a single charge and supports 100W HyperCharge, giving a full day’s power in just 20 minutes, along with 27W reverse charging for other devices. The Pro 5G has an 8,340mAh battery with 67W charging, while the standard Note 17 5G and Note 17 use a 7,700mAh battery with 45W charging.

Both Pro models have TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality certification, IP66/68/69/69K water and dust resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The standard Note 17 5G has IP65 protection with Gorilla Glass 7i.

The Pro Max and Pro share a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits brightness, while the standard models get a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with up to 1,800 nits. The Pro Max runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip with a 6-year software warranty and includes Xiaomi’s HyperAI tools plus Google Gemini integration. The Pro 5G uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, while the Note 17 5G runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4.

For cameras, both Pro models have a 50MP main camera with OIS, with the Pro Max adding an f/1.5 lens and 32MP front camera. The standard models come with a 50MP main camera and 16MP front camera.

Xiaomi is also offering a Malaysia No. 1 Protection package worth up to RM3,608 for Pro series buyers, covering battery, screen, liquid damage, and hardware warranties, plus free Google One and YouTube Premium subscriptions.

Prices start from RM749. The Pro Max 5G is priced from RM1,999 to RM2,299, while the Pro 5G ranges from RM1,399 to RM1,899. Pre-orders for the Pro series run until 4 September 2026 with rebates up to RM300 and free gifts worth up to RM4,321. The first sale follows from 5 to 30 September with rebates up to RM200.

The standard Note 17 5G and Note 17 (4G) are priced between RM849 and RM1,299, with sales running from 2 to 30 September, offering a RM100 rebate and a free Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active.
