Aniplex and TYPE-MOON have confirmed that the remastered version of the visual novel Fate/hollow ataraxia will officially launch in 2025. The announcement came during the recent Fate/stay night 20th Anniversary Concert Finale, with details shared through the franchise’s official social media channels.
Originally released for PC in 2005 and later ported to PlayStation Vita in 2014, Fate/hollow ataraxia REMASTERED will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The remaster was initially revealed in August 2024, though at that time it was only listed as being “in development” without a specified release window.

This release follows the successful launch of Fate/stay night REMASTERED last year, continuing TYPE-MOON’s efforts to bring their classic visual novels to modern platforms with updated features. No information has been provided regarding compatibility with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
The announcement builds anticipation for longtime fans of the franchise, many of whom have been hoping for easier access to this sequel to the original Fate/stay night visual novel. While specific enhancements and new features have not yet been detailed, the remaster is expected to bring the beloved visual novel to a new generation of gamers while satisfying veteran fans of the Fate universe.
Publisher Aniplex and developer TYPE-MOON have not yet announced a specific release date beyond the 2025 window, nor have they revealed pricing information. More details are expected in the coming months as development progresses.
