Level-5’s latest release, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, has recently launched in early access across multiple platforms, and it’s already seeing impressive success.
On Steam, the game has garnered over 1,000 user reviews, boasting a Very Positive rating, with 92% of players expressing satisfaction.

What makes this achievement especially notable is that early access is exclusive to those who purchased the $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition. Despite limited marketing efforts, particularly in Western regions, the game appears to be gaining momentum quickly.
The original Fantasy Life was a fan favorite on the Nintendo 3DS over a decade ago. Seeing this spiritual successor perform well even ahead of its full release is a promising sign.
Game Overview
FANTASY LIFE i is a slow-life RPG that allows players to choose from 14 unique “Lives,” or job classes, within a whimsical fantasy world. Whether crafting, gathering, or fighting monsters, players can tailor the gameplay to suit their preferred playstyle.

By collecting materials, players can craft better gear, enhancing their ability to explore new areas and face tougher enemies.
The story follows players as they join archaeologist Edward’s team to investigate a mysterious, abandoned island, drawn there by the glow of a dragon’s fossil. A central feature of the game is the ability to travel between two time periods: the thriving island civilization of 1,000 years ago and its present-day ruins.

FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. A version for the Nintendo Switch 2 has also been confirmed for release within a later date.
