Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa will appear at the DEATH STRANDING WORLD STRAND TOUR 2 event in Taipei on July 6, 2025, with PlayStation offering fans from five Southeast Asian countries a chance to attend through a special contest.
The promotion targets fans in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines who pre-order the physical version of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH ahead of its June 26 PlayStation 5 exclusive launch. Winners will receive round-trip flights to Taipei, two nights of hotel accommodation, and entry to the event where they can meet the game creator and art director behind the highly anticipated sequel.
To participate, fans must pre-order either the Standard or Collector’s Edition of the game and submit proof of purchase through an online registration form, along with answering questions and providing contact details. The registration window opens May 22 at midnight Singapore time and closes June 20 at 21:59 (GMT+8) Singapore time.
The Taipei event represents one stop on Kojima Productions’ DEATH STRANDING WORLD STRAND TOUR 2, a 12-city global celebration of the upcoming game. The tour includes major cities across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, with dates spanning from June through November 2025. Other confirmed locations include Los Angeles, Sydney, Tokyo, Paris, London, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Riyadh, São Paulo, and Lucca.

The DEATH STRANDING WORLD STRAND TOUR 2 TAIPEI event will be conducted in Mandarin, allowing attendees to hear directly from Kojima and Shinkawa as they discuss their latest PlayStation 5 exclusive title. The original Death Stranding launched to critical acclaim for its unique gameplay mechanics and storytelling approach, making the sequel one of the most anticipated releases of 2025.
