EVE Echoes commences its Open Beta test starting 2 December, 3:00AM UTC for both iOS and Android. Players in Australia, USA, Canada, Russia, Europe, South Korea and New Zealand will be able to access it. iOS users will need to get the OBT through TestFlight.

The game is developed by NetEase Games in conjunction with CCP Games. EVE Echoes is a brand-new sci-fi MMO set in an alternate universe of New Eden. You can expect the same, authentic EVE Online experience on your mobile device! EVE’s signature gameplay mechanics have been retained. New players will be able to go through the included basic tutorials so that they can better advance and enhance their space-faring experience. Novice pilots will be able to learn how to survive, then thrive, in New Eden.

The Open Beta features a more optimized feature-set for players. Utilize this in your adventures across the vast, deep and beautiful cosmos of New Eden. The game is dedicated to bring over the enormous universe of EVE to your mobile devices. More advanced ships and new modules have been introduced into the Open Beta. Meanwhile, the hotly anticipated Drones weapon system is also included, in a new form!

To meet increasing demand for in-game business dealings, a new trading platform known as the “Interstellar Trading Center (ITC)” has been opened up. In the mean time, a new mission type – Storyline Missions – are available in Encounters. All EVE Echoes Open Beta players will be able to access these unique features.

Other adjustments in the Open Beta include dividing the ship fitting slots, and revised skill training and level up systems. The ship slots are now in three types to make them more distinct. The EVE Echoes team will continue to optimize the game throughout the Open Beta to improve the overall gameplay experience.
