Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Crawls Their Way to Steam and Nintendo Switch

SEGA has announced the release of Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection on the Nintendo Switch and Steam on 1st June 2023. The collection will showcase the remastered titles which includes: Etrian Odyssey HD, Etrian Odyssey II HD, and Etrian Odyssey III HD.

Etrian Odyssey Series

Etrian Odyssey is a 3D dungeon-crawling RPG series where players select five adventures from an assortment of classes and combine their skills to search for treasure within a vast labyrinth, all while creating a personalized map.

Etrian Odyssey Origin Collections features three adventures with newly added quality-of-life elements, including: difficulty selection, auto-mapping function, high-definition graphics labyrinths, and more.

Features

Auto-Mapping Function

The HD remasters have an auto-mapping function that automatically records all the floors and walls players have come across. Players can draw walls and floors to create the base of the map, and place icons to mark any doors, treasures, or points of interest you discover.

Defeat Monsters and Create a Powerful Party

Defeating monster lurking within the Labyrinth will increase your party’s level and grant you skill points. Players can then use these skill points to unlock powerful abilities for each class.

Party Member Classes

• Protector (defensive type; front line): Holy defenders who serve as shields for their comrades. Their protection is an indispensable asset during battles in the Labyrinth. Specialises in Swords and Shields.
• Hexer (specialist type; back line): Masters of forbidden sorcery who use curses to manipulate their enemies’ fates and actions. Because learning these abilities requires a deadly dose of talent, hexers are few and far between. Specialises in Curses.
• Medic (recovery type): Masters of the healing arts, medics strive to keep the party in peak condition. While they lack combat abilities, they are an invaluable asset when your party is ailing. Specialises in Recovery Skills.

Facilities

• The Rooster Inn: Staying overnight at the inn will recover your party’s HP and TP. Items can also be stored away here.
• Ceft Apothecary: Party members suffering from inquires or status ailments can be healed at the apothecary. Recovery items are also sold here.
• Shilleka’s Goods: Weapons can be bought and sold at this shop. Selling materials dropped by monsters to the store will expand its inventory and unlock new products.
• Golden Deer Pub: Look through and accept requests from people living in the town. Completing them will grant money and items.
• Radha Hall: Progress through the main story is achieved by completing missions from the Radha Hall.
