eFootball and Captain Tsubasa’s Collaboration Brings Manga Legends to the Pitch

Konami Digital Entertainment Limited has announced an exciting collaboration between their popular game, eFootball, and the iconic football manga series, Captain Tsubasa. This partnership brings beloved characters from the manga into the virtual football world, offering players a unique gameplay experience along with exclusive rewards.

A Special In-Game Event for Fans

As part of this special campaign, eFootball players can unlock various exclusive rewards simply by logging into the game and participating in special events. For the first time, players can control legendary Captain Tsubasa characters, allowing them to experience football action as seen in the manga.

Exclusive Artwork and Crossover Cards

Famed Captain Tsubasa creator, Yoichi Takahashi, has contributed new illustrations featuring eFootball ambassadors Lionel Messi and Takefusa Kubo. The illustrations show both football stars wearing special eFootball jerseys inspired by Nankatsu Junior High School.

Additionally, players can obtain crossover cards that feature Captain Tsubasa characters paired with real-life football stars, including:

• Hikaru Matsuyama x Joshua Kimmich
• Ryo Ishizaki x Dayot Upamecano

These cards bring the world of Captain Tsubasa closer to reality by merging manga characters with actual football talent.

Special In-Game Events

Throughout this collaboration, players can participate in various in-game events that highlight the iconic characters and themes from Captain Tsubasa. These events include:

• Time Attack Event: Control characters like Tsubasa Ozora and Taro Misaki in a race against time to score goals. Completing each stage will reward players with ‘puzzle pieces’ that can be assembled into exclusive Captain Tsubasa artwork. These puzzle pieces also unlock unique profile avatars and additional rewards.
• Daily Bonus Event: Players can take control of anime characters to score penalty kicks and earn exciting daily bonuses.

In total, 10 iconic characters from the Captain Tsubasa series are available to play in eFootball through random selection. Fan favorites like Tsubasa Ozora, Kojiro Hyuga, and Hikaru Matsuyama can now take to the pitch in eFootball, allowing players to relive their favorite manga moments.
