To celebrate the first year anniversary of Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed, Nexon announced a special in-game collaboration event with its console-based brethren Dynasty Warriors 9. A slew of new content will be made available for players, including a new character in the form of Xin Xianying, who will be available until 20 April 2018.

Furthermore, a new story chapter has been added, where players will be able to challenge the “The Northern Expedition: Battle of Mount Dingjun!” mission. Guilds can also now partake in a war to claim the most prosperous cities in China.

To recap, the plot of Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed is identical with the main series, which revolves around the war and unity between the 3 kingdoms, Wu, Shu and Wei. Bringing back the classic characters from the main series, over 140 officers are collectible. There are also 3 elements for the characters, namely Water, Fire and Wood.
