Out of the blue, Japan-based development studio, Spike Chunsoft sent out a press release teasing the imminent release of a dungeon RPG in Japan.
Unfortunately, no details pertaining to the game were released, not even its title. That said, the press release contained an image and catchphrase suggesting that we may be looking at a port of the 2006-released Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer for DS. The character above is Oryu, one of the many cast members from the game in question.
The catchphrase goes “depth in that it cannot be played entirely even in 1,000 playthroughs,” is the same one used to promote the release of the DS game, which is still on the official website.
It is also worth noting that while we do not know what platforms the game will be coming out on, this piece of news was posted on Famitsu’s smartphone games portal Famitsu App, so take that as you will.
