Bandai Namco has just confirmed that it will be launching the Digimon Vital Bracelet, its upcoming fitness tracker, on 13 March 2021. As we have already covered in a previous article, the bracelet tracks the steps and heart rate of its users, where they will raise their digital monsters through walking, running and just about any other form of physical activity.

In a follow up stream, it reiterates the ways you can train your Digimon using the Digimon Vital Bracelet, the first being Pulse Link, where users will link their activity data to the Digimon, where it will then be subsequently trained to the user’s actual activity level. Vital values are then stored to contribute to the digivolve mechanics. Meanwhile, Touch Link is the auto-battle system where, where users are required to head outside in order level their Digimon. Battle records and winning averages will in turn contribute towards the evolution of the Digimon in question. Lastly, Applog Link will sync features via a smartphone app, where information such as records of raised Digimon and daily activity is stored. This is also where you will be getting your daily missions. Clearing this will also affect how your Digimon evolve. All models of the bracelets come with DIM cards, each containing different Digimons and missions.

The game’s producer also touched on the kinds of Digimons a player will obtain, as it changes depending on the user’s lifestyle. Should one be very active, they will be getting a Digimon that suits that lifestyle. That is not to say that the Digimon will be stronger if you are a gym freak versus if you were a slob, of course. At least that is what is being emphasised.
