Based on a recent DeNA financial briefing, it would appear that the publisher is working with The Pokémon Company to release a smartphone game based on the Pokémon license.

There is very little information to go on, other than the fact that it will be out before March 2020. More details are to be released at a later date. In any case, it is interesting to see what DeNA will be able to do with the IP, although there is a good chance that we are going to see something with a heavy emphasis on gacha.
While Nintendo has kept its projects with DeNA fair with regards to monetisation, it would be interesting to see if The Pokémon Company has the same amount of care on this issue.
