The final game in the Danganronpa series, Daganronpa V3: Killing Harmoney has made a surprise launch on android and iOS devices. You can purchase and download it now.

This latest version is called ‘Daganronpa V3 Killing Harmoney 10th Anniversary Edition’ which is in line with the mobile version titles of the previous two games which were released in 2020 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise.

“Danganronpa V3 is finally available on smartphones! Welcome to a new world of Danganronpa, with an all-new “psycho-cool” environment and cast of characters! Survive through the revamped Class Trials with its myriad of new minigames!

The Ultimate Pianist, Kaede Akamatsu, wakes up in an unfamiliar classroom… There, she meets other “Ultimate” students in the same situation. The headmaster Monokuma declares that the students are to participate in a Killing Game school life. Lie, bluff, deceive, and expose the blackened, and the truth. For Kaede and the other students, does the future hold hope, despair, or something else entirely…?”

In terms of continuity, you don’t need to have played either of the previous two games in the series to understand V3 however there are a number of references to them, especially towards the end of the game that Daganronpa veterans will pick up on. Thankfully all three games are available on mobile devices so you can easily pick them up one after the other.

A mobile version of Danganronpa V3 has actually been planned for release since May 26 of last year. Whether due to an internal problem or a need for further polishing, the game was suddenly delayed and not much was heard of it since, at least until now.

The port is more or less exactly the same as the other versions of Danganronpa V3, including featuring both English and Japanese dubs of the title.

In addition to iOS and Android, Danganronpa V3 is also available on PS Vita, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
