If you are a fan of The Witcher series, you will be aware that its built-in Gwent card game has spawned a huge following of its own, due to its surprisingly deep and enjoyable gameplay that could stand on its own. Which it did of course, although it was only limited to the consoles and PC. If this posting on CD Projekt Red’s job board proves real, then we are going to be seeing a mobile version of the game.
Of course, the job description doesn’t specifically say that they are looking for mobile developers for Gwent, other than the required skills and experience section stating that applicants must: “Possess an understanding of mobile game development and operating systems (iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8)”. Unless CD Projekt Red is suddenly going into mobile games development with a brand new IP, the odds of this being Gwent is pretty high.
