The listing for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has been removed as PlaytestCloud insists that the title was not added by the developers. Previously, journalist and industry insider Tom Henderson tweeted the apparent leak:

PlaytestCloud is a platform that allows mobile game developers to playtest their games before release. In a follow-up tweet, Henderson revealed that PlaytestCloud listed the game on its database based on an assumption, and not because Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is actually undergoing playtesting.

While this is obviously not concrete proof that Warzone Mobile is coming, Henderson is certain that the game will release in 2022. Considering that Activision did state previously that a triple-A Call of Duty title is coming to mobile, it does seem possible. After all, with how much revenue other mobile battle royale games like PUBG and Fortnite are making, it definitely appears to be a sound decision for Activision to port the successful shooter to mobile.

UPDATE – 16/12/2021: PlaytestCloud has reached out to us with the following response:

This was a false alarm, the list of games in our signup form has no connection to any games tested on PlaytestCloud. Additionally, as this game hasn’t been confirmed to exist yet, we’ve removed it from the database. The ‘PlaytestCloud database’ is a public list of 104722 mobile, PC and console games that appears in our signup form. This data is mainly based on articles, App Store / Play Store charts, plus some games we sometimes (and in this case mistakenly) add manually. While we would love to say that all 100k games have been tested with PlaytestCloud, this list and our customer list have no connection.

While we’re also eagerly awaiting future Call of Duty games, we truly don’t have any information about upcoming titles.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. Recently, with the release of the series’ mainline title, Call of Duty: Vanguard, the game was also integrated with Warzone. Last week, the series doubled-down cheaters and hackers in both games by implementing its proprietary anti-cheat tool.
