Diablo, World of Warcraft and Overwatch developer Blizzard is currently looking to hire new employees to develop a new unannounced AAA game.
Dan John Cox, a senior artist at Blizzard, tweeted about the project and the job openings. In addition, Cox further added that diversity will be an important factor in building the prospective team.
The open positions range from director level down to associate level. Here are all the positions Blizzard is looking to fill:
- Lead Character Artist
- Lead/Sr. VFX Artist
- Lead/Sr. Lighting Artist
- Sr. Character Concept Artist
- Sr. Environment Artist
- Senior Art Outsourcing Manager
- Tech Art Director
- Sr/Mid Tech Artist
- Lead Systems Designer
- Lead Content Designer
- Sr. Systems Designer
- Associate Combat Designer
- Associate/Mid Level Designer
- Game Producer, Tech
- Lead/Sr. Software Engineer, Tools

This new title will be playable on PC and consoles. While the exact genre of the game has not been revealed, some of the job listings appear to hint at the type of game. In particular, the role of Combat Designer required “broad, extensive player experience with FPS and action games, both single-player and online”. As a result, the AAA game that Blizzard is developing is likely an FPS title with multiplayer elements.
