The developers behind Azur Promillia, Manjuu, have officially revealed new content in their latest Closed Beta Test (CBT) showcase, offering fans a deeper look into the reimagined RPG experience. The showcase key improvements from the previous showcase, from character visuals to in-depth gameplay mechanics. The Closed Beta Test is only available for CN users, but the game will officially launch globally in the future.
A Deeper Dive Into Promelia

Set in the vibrant and mystical land of Promelia, the world of Azur Promillia offers a unique landscape filled with floating islands, massive mushrooms, and dynamic ecosystems. Players, referred to as “Psychics” or “Star Spirits,” will bond with quirky companions known as Kipo and experience new emotional storylines.
Visual Overhaul: Sharper Models, Softer Details

The Closed Beta Test showcase features significantly enhanced character models and animations, with adjustments made to visual fidelity, material textures, and lighting effects. Characters like Terara have received fine-tuned updates — from fluffier tails to improved feather detailing — to make them feel more alive and expressive.

These refinements help set a new standard in visual presentation compared to previous beta tests.
Combat System: Strategy Meets Synergy

Combat in Azur Promillia is more strategic than ever. Players can now bring up to three companions and three Kipo into battle, each offering unique skills. The showcase introduced a new boss, showcasing mechanics like:
- Kipo Special Skills for burst damage
- Star Fusion Attacks for combo effects
- Counter Systems for perfect evasion and retaliation
Some bosses can now be captured mid-battle, adding a monster-taming layer that expands team-building options.
The Magic of Kipo: More Than Just Pets

Kipo’s are no longer just side characters. In this CBT, they play a key role in both combat and exploration. Each Kipo features its own ecosystem behavior, reacting differently to the player’s presence — some feign death, others flee, or interact with their surroundings.
Kipo’s also aid in home-based tasks like farming, order handling, and even mount transportation. The showcase introduced new riding features, including mounts like the flying Blue Rain and the water-swimming Master He Li.

Kipo Duels: A Brand-New Game Mode

A major highlight of the showcase was the Kipo Duel System. This new feature lets players build teams of Kipo to battle through tactical stages using real-time deployments and strategy. Players use tactical commands to buff Kipo mid-battle and break through enemy defenses, aiming to destroy the opposing team’s crystal.

New Characters, Fresh Encounters

The showcase introduces several new characters while updating returning ones with refined personalities, skills, and visuals. Character animations during combat are more fluid, and special moves come with cinematic flair.
More characters will unlock as the test progresses, with many previously teased only in concept art now fully playable.

The Azur Promillia Closed Beta marks a significant leap in quality and content. With a revamped combat system, emotionally rich NPC interactions, an open ecosystem, and a new strategic battle mode, this closed beta aims to deliver a fresh yet familiar and much more enjoyable experience for players.
Expect more surprises and updates as the test continues — and prepare to journey across Promelia, a world as beautiful as it is full of danger and discovery.
