Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games have announced the impending end of service for the global version of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. The mobile and PC game will cease operations on March 28, 2025, just over a year after its global launch in January 2024. The in-game purchase system has already been disabled, although players can still use their remaining Lodestar Gems until the game’s closure.

The global release’s shutdown comes as a stark contrast to the Japanese version of the game, which launched in September 2023 and continues to thrive with active updates. The Japanese server is gearing up to celebrate its 1.5th anniversary in March, the same month the global server will shut down. Notably, the Japanese version recently received Chapter 22 (Part 2), while the global version will conclude with Chapter 21 (Part 1) before service ends.
Despite the closure, Koei Tecmo has confirmed that global players will still receive new content and events leading up to the shutdown. However, this announcement coincides with what was meant to be a celebratory period, as the global server had just marked its first anniversary on January 25, 2025.

Set in the kingdom of Lantana, where alchemy has faded into obscurity, Atelier Resleriana follows the journeys of Resna, a young alchemist, and Valeria, an amnesiac warrior, alongside appearances from iconic characters across the Atelier series. The game was co-developed by Gust, Team Ninja, and Akatsuki Games, offering players a blend of familiar lore and new adventures.

Looking ahead, fans of the series can anticipate the release of Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian, a standalone console adaptation. Set to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the upcoming title promises an offline experience with a unique story and fresh protagonist, separate from the mobile game.
The global version of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is currently available on iOS, Android, and PC via Steam until March 28, 2025.

Long ago, the kingdom of Lantarna prospered from the blessings of a white comet that passed overhead. The art of harnessing the comet's blessings was called alchemy, and the practitioners of this art were known as alchemists. However, when the comet disappeared and its blessings were no longer available, the use of alchemy gradually declined and was eventually forgotten.
