Many Arknights fans have been poring over Arknights Endfield, some mysterious project seemingly related to the Arknights universe that has gotten global accounts. Additionally, its Bilibili space has also been verified, as well as having a listing on TapTap, the latter of which would indicate this is a mobile game or application of some sort.

Naturally, “leaks” and speculations are abound, with the “claims” summarized as follows:

• Developed by Hypergryph, by a separate team consisting of both new and old developers
• Will have cameos, and original characters
• Allegedly a premium third person shooter title
• Exact monetization model unclear, with claims of a “greedy” gacha system, battle pass, DLC
• Immersive story, apparently same universe as Arknights
• Fight alongside familiar characters, lead your team to victory, new missions
• Different missions giving different experiences?
• “Gigantic background setting”

Without an actual announcement unlike Ex Astris, any “information” here should be taken with large grains of salt. The “leaks” for the most part can be considered fake until proven otherwise.  Arknights will be celebrating its third anniversary in China in May, where we might be able to expect something more concrete then. If it truly is a new game title, Arknights Endfield AND Ex Astris both appear to be aiming for simultaneous global launches, so that’s something to look forward to.

UPDATE, 16 MARCH 2022, 11:24AM: A global website has been established, with a countdown to 18 March 2022 for a concept trailer. The English Twitter account has this to say about the teaser:

Over the frontier, into the front. The wildlands await your discovery.

UPDATE, 16 MARCH 2022: 13:44PM: Endfield might be a premium real time strategy game. Much like Ex Astris, this title is also early in development.
