Apocalypse Hunters is an upcoming game for the mobile by, Apocalypse Hunters. This is not the first game they’ve come up with using geolocation tech, AR or VR. However this is a game that is named after their company.
Apocalypse Hunters the mobile game, is a card battle game with a unique way of collecting cards. We have the popular Pokemon GO, where we run around town to collect Pokemon. Whereas with Apocalypse Hunters, we run around town to collect cards for our deck. The concept is pretty much the same but this is probably the first location based game featured in a card battle game.
The cards can also be upgraded to make them stronger, like Clash Royale. So how do you upgrade them? With resources of course! The resources to upgrade your card can be farmed from your own base which you build and will be seen by others on the real world map. Others can choose to attack you, so upgrading your base’s defenses is also crucial.
Because every card is unique based on location, you might just get a special one-of-a-kind card that’s only available in your area! Add it into your deck and battle against other players to prove who has been travelling around more than being a couch potato. You can battle others in the Arena or play the story mode to battle against AI.
Currently, there’s a beta test for the game which is only available for Android devices where you can still join before the game is officially released. While the game will officially launch for Android on the 12th July, 2018, and iOS as well. You can also pre-register on their official site now to get an exclusive weapon when the game is released!
