Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris will be getting a series of free updates, as well as a paid major expansion DLC which will be released later for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. A teaser trailer for the first of the free updates can be viewed below:

Set for release sometime in 2020, the Ancient Apostles series will focus on a character from Alicization Lycoris, adding bosses and items in each of the updates.

The first one, Sinon: The Reaper of the Woods, has its script written by Kana Akatsuki, author of Violet Evergarden. Enjoy the original stories of these characters not told in the main story! Look forward to these scenarios in future updates.

The Alicization Lycoris first paid major expansion DLC is titled “Blooming of Forget-me-not”. With plot by Kana Akatsuki and scenario by Matsuri Akaneya (“Alice reloaded Hello, Mr. Magnum”), a new story will unfold to add to the main story.

Last but not least, heroines from previous Sword Art Online games will also be added as free additional playable characters, planned for a 2021 release. This includes Eydis from the mobile game Alicization Rising Steel! New costumes and sub-episodes for each heroine are planned to be added, so stay tuned for more details.
