Sony Honda Mobility Inc. (SHM) has announced that its AFEELA vehicle will be the first car in the world to offer PS Remote Play as a built-in entertainment feature. This integration allows drivers and passengers to stream games from their PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 consoles directly through the car’s system.
PS Remote Play lets users connect to their PS4 or PS5 console at home and control it remotely from inside the AFEELA vehicle. The feature works through the car’s In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system, using the vehicle’s display and audio setup to deliver the gaming experience.

The system is designed for situations when the car is parked or to keep passengers entertained during trips. Users can access their console’s game library without needing to bring additional gaming hardware into the vehicle.
To use PS Remote Play in the AFEELA, you’ll need:
- A PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 console at home
- A broadband internet connection of at least 5Mbps (15Mbps recommended for better performance)
- The feature may not work properly if network conditions are poor

Izumi Kawanishi, Representative Director, President and COO of Sony Honda Mobility, said the integration reflects AFEELA’s goal of “transforming the traveling space into a captivating and emotional one” and aims to elevate the overall travel experience through entertainment options.
Sony Honda Mobility describes itself as a Mobility Tech Company focused on connecting different technologies and developing innovations that influence how people experience and interact with vehicles.
