Season 2 of Super Bomberman R Online is now live for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam! Soma Cruz from the Castlevania series joins as a new character available through the in-game Shop. Soma Cruz’s special ability, “Power of Dominance”, will be able to temporarily seal and copy the special abilities of characters who come into contact with his bats.

Season 2 means a new Battle Pass for both the paid Gold and free Silver tracks, with Super Bomberman R Online players able to earn various outfits, accessories and taunts inspired from the Castlevania series through the Gold Pass. The Silver Pass will also have Bomber Coin rewards this season.

Event Battles will be a new feature coming up later in the season as well, where players can enjoy a variety of in-game special events. Their content and release dates will be announced at a later date.

The update includes balance changes, details of which you can find through the official website. Even if you don’t earn the items from the Battle Pass this season, a clause indicates that they may return after the season ends in “different ways”. We’ll see if the Castlevania stuff can be obtained in a different way in the future.
