Hololive EN Announces Irys As Her Twitter Account Immediately Gets Restricted

Hololive EN has announced the newest talent to join their lineup with the Vtuber Irys, following an 8 hour countdown on the official Hololive EN YouTube Channel. They also announced her official Twitter, which was immediately flagged for “unusual activity”.

While the talent herself won’t debut until 9am this Saturday, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t already begun Hololive EN’s defining appetite for trouble. Irys’ Twitter account was flagged for suspicious behavior, prompting a warning to come up when visiting her profile:

It looks like Twitter’s algorithm has taken notice of her massive surge in followers, seeing how as of this writing she’s sitting at 91k followers just less than 4 hours after the announcement that she would be joining Hololive’s English branch.

Irys has only posted one tweet since the launch, though it’s hard to tell if it was in response to the massive popularity or a similarly cryptic tweet as other Hololive EN member Gawr Gura’s signature “a” tweet.

Meanwhile, the announcement trailer for Irys joining Hololive EN, which launched alongside her Twitter, is currently sitting at over 257,000 views. Her official YouTube channel is also sitting at 84,200 subscribers, despite not having posted any videos at all.

Hololive EN, the English-speaking branch of the popular Vtuber/Idol company has come a long way since their debut last year, as member Gawr Gura just this week overtook Kizuna Ai to become the most-subscribed Vtuber on YouTube by passing the 3 million mark.
